Eurythmics Songbook ft. Dave Stewart - Baloise Session 2023
Dave Stewart finally takes Eurythmics songs on stage. Something to delight pop fans. To mark the 40th anniversary of the legendary band, the Briton surrounded himself with top-flight musicians and singers. In 2019, Dave Stewart generated enthusiasm by giving a concert dedicated to Eurythmics at the Royal Festival Hall in London. With the blessing of his partner Annie Lennox, who no longer wishes to travel, Stewart has decided to celebrate the band's 40th anniversary with a tour entitled "Sweet Dreams".
 
The Basel concert offers a musical journey through the Eurythmics repertoire, a unique blend of new wave, synth-pop, soul and rock. On the menu, a profusion of hits: Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), Sexcrime, Here Comes the Rain Again, Love is A Stranger, Would I lie to You, Missionary Man and There must Be an Angel (Playing with My Heart) . Stewart is accompanied by a formidable, all-female band, with Vanessa Amorosi, Kaya Stewart and Rahh on vocals.
Hannah Koppenburg on keyboards, Ellie East on drums, Julia Lamb on bass, Indiara Sfair on harmonica and Yasmin Ogilvie on saxophone ensure a perfect, rich sound.
