The Rock Hard Festival is one of the most important metal happenings in the republic. The Blues Pills were also there at Pentecost 2017 in the Gelsenkirchen Amphitheater!
Hard blues rock from Sweden with a soul voice. The Blues Pills quartet creates a rock'n'roll atmosphere that leads directly to their musical ancestors: the early Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Cactus.
It's hard to believe that these time travelers living in Örebro, Sweden, are quite young people. Singer Elin Larsson's voice is often compared to Aretha Franklin or Janis Joplin. She writes most of the band's lyrics together with bassist Zack Anderson. It's about big topics like the search for the soul, the meaning of life, but also about family and friends. Blues Pills appear authentic and maintain their own identity alongside their love for everything that was important in San Francisco in the late 1960s.
